Senior Lead Platform Engineering
About the role
The Senior Lead Platform Engineering (Data Analytics and AI) role is responsible for driving the strategy, architecture, and operational excellence of modern data platforms within the organization. This leadership position involves enabling advanced analytics, machine learning, and data-driven decision making by working with cloud and big data technologies and leading a high-performing engineering team. Key responsibilities include leading the development and enhancement of enterprise data platforms, designing scalable data pipelines, ensuring platform reliability and security, and mentoring engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in platform engineering, technical leadership, and expertise in data analytics and AI technologies.
Must have
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering (Data Analytics and AI) - Python, SQL, Infrastructure as a Code.
- Proven experience in leading technical teams and delivering large-scale data initiatives.
- Strong expertise in enterprise data platforms, cloud technologies, ETL/ELT frameworks, data lakes, data warehousing, and big data ecosystems.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Candidates must possess at least one of the following certifications/programs: IBM Data Engineering Professional Certificate, IBM Data Warehouse Engineer Professional Certificate, Preparing for Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer (Data Engineering on GCP Path), Microsoft Azure Data Engineering (DP-203) Aligned Program.
Nice to have
- Master’s Degree or relevant industry certifications will be an added advantage.
