IT Specialist
About the role
The IT Specialist role involves hands-on Java development, working with Java frameworks, APIs, and application development. The position requires experience in cloud computing, cloud-based application deployment, and a good understanding of databases, system integration, and troubleshooting. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and integrating applications, APIs, and databases, and managing technical projects independently. The role is based on-site in Mount Lavinia, with working hours from 8.30 AM to 5.30 PM. Applicants are encouraged to provide evidence of previous relevant projects.
Must have
- Strong hands-on experience in Java development.
- Good knowledge of Java frameworks, APIs, and application development.
- Experience in Cloud Computing and cloud-based application deployment.
- Good understanding of databases, system integration, and troubleshooting.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage technical projects.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in Java development.
- Hands-on experience with cloud computing/cloud platforms.
- Experience in developing and integrating applications, APIs, and databases.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Nice to have
- Experience with Google Apps Script will be an added advantage.
- Relevant professional certifications in Java or Cloud Computing will be an added advantage.
