Cloud Engineer - UAE
About the role
The Cloud Engineer (UAE) role at John Keells Information Technology (Pvt) Ltd involves designing, deploying, and managing Azure cloud infrastructure and services, implementing Infrastructure as Code solutions, supporting Azure PaaS and containerized workloads, and contributing to cloud security and best practices. The position requires hands-on experience with Azure, Linux administration, container solutions, and cloud networking concepts. The selected candidate will report to the Practice Manager – Cloud Solutions and Services and work collaboratively within a team environment.
Must have
- Minimum 1+ years of hands-on experience in Azure cloud environments.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) certification.
- Strong understanding of Linux administration and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with container-based solutions (Docker/Kubernetes fundamentals).
- Understanding of Azure Landing Zone concepts, governance, and cloud security controls.
- Familiarity with networking concepts (VNets, NSGs, Private Endpoints) is an added advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Candidate must be currently based in the UAE.
