Delivery Manager
About the role
The Delivery Manager at London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) is responsible for managing the planning and delivery of multiple software development projects across the development lifecycle. This role involves leading and coaching multiple scrum teams within a scaled agile framework (SAFe), mentoring other delivery leads, and fostering a high-performance, continuous improvement culture. The Delivery Manager will work closely with Product Owners, produce Agile metrics, manage risks and dependencies, and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and clients. The position requires a deep understanding of agile software development, cloud-based environments, and release management, as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills. LSEG is a global financial markets infrastructure and data provider, offering a collaborative and inclusive work environment with a focus on innovation and sustainability.
Must have
- In-depth understanding of agile software development projects and lifecycle
- Good understanding of cloud-based system environments and release management practices
- Coaching/Mentoring skills focused on the Agile Software Development Methodologies
- Great interpersonal skills and ability to deal with all levels of management & staff.
- Ability to work collaboratively with geographically dispersed cross-functional teams and team members.
- Results focused with ability to work under pressure, to deadlines and without constant supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive management style.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Electronics or IT related field or equivalent IT related experience.
- Certification in Agile methodologies such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) or Scaled Agile Certification.
- Minimum of 10 years’ software delivery experience within an Agile Software Development Lifecycle
- Prior knowledge of Agile project management tools, such as Jira and confluence
Nice to have
- Experience working as a Scrum Master/Team Coach within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) would be advantageous
