Lead DevOps Engineer
About the role
Veracity Digital, an AI-native technology and engineering company, is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to join their team. The role involves technical leadership and governance over delivery infrastructure for enterprise web applications, including setting up and managing dev, test, and production environments, and ensuring security and compliance. The Lead DevOps Engineer will mentor team members, establish DevOps strategy and standards, and oversee infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and incident response. Candidates should have significant experience in DevOps or platform engineering, including leading production environments and working within enterprise security constraints. The company focuses on delivering scalable, production-ready AI solutions for global clients. Applications are to be submitted via the provided Google Forms link.
Must have
- Typically 4–6+ years in DevOps or platform engineering, including 2+ years leading and owning production environments, with go-lives and on-call/hypercare you can describe.
- Experience working inside enterprise client hosting and security constraints (security review, network, approvals, data residency) and handing over infrastructure to client teams.
- A solid security baseline covering secrets, network policy, dependency scanning and patching; DevSecOps practice (SAST/DAST) or security certifications are a plus.
- Containerization & Orchestration: Docker plus Kubernetes or managed container platforms.
- Infrastructure as Code: Terraform or Pulumi (or similar).
- CI/CD Platforms: Multi-service pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) with automated gates, secrets management and environment promotion.
- Observability: OpenTelemetry, Grafana or Datadog-class tooling, plus audit logging for enterprise contexts.
- Identity & Data: SSO-protected apps, RBAC and least-privilege service identities, and PostgreSQL in production (backups, migrations, restores).
- AI Tool Integration & Strategy: Proficiency with AI-assisted engineering tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor) to accelerate infrastructure scripting and log analysis.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain infrastructure choices to software teams and to coordinate with client IT and security teams in Asia time zones.
- Calm, structured diagnosis under pressure during production incidents, with lasting fixes such as alerts, tests and runbooks.
Nice to have
- cloud cost management, multi-region deployment and disaster recovery, and operating LLM/agent workloads behind an enterprise proxy with egress controls.
