About the role
Imperial EduTech, a UK-based leader in online learning and training, is seeking an Associate Full Stack Developer to join their development team. The role involves building and maintaining features across both the front end and back end of EdTech platforms, using technologies such as Laravel, Vue.js, Next.js, and AWS. The successful candidate will work closely with senior developers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, user-friendly educational solutions. Responsibilities include developing end-to-end features, integrating RESTful APIs, deploying applications on AWS, participating in code reviews, and ensuring code quality and security.
Must have
- 1–2 years of professional experience in full stack web development
- Intermediate experience with Vue.js (components, state management, Composition API)
- Intermediate experience with PHP and the Laravel framework (routing, Eloquent ORM, migrations, queues, API development)
- Intermediate experience with Next.js (routing, serverside rendering, API integration)
- Intermediate experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS) and deploying web applications to the cloud
- Solid understanding of RESTful API design and integration
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience with Git and agile development using Jira
- Good knowledge of relational databases and SQL (e.g., MySQL)
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Nice to have
- Experience in the EdTech industry Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker
- A portfolio, GitHub profile, or contributions to opensource projects
- Understanding of learning management systems (LMS)
