Social Media Executive
About the role
The Social Media Executive at WAD (We Are Designers) will manage the company's social media presence, including planning and executing a monthly content calendar, creating or briefing posts, publishing content, engaging with the community, and reporting on performance. The role involves working closely with the design team for visuals and with sales to convert social interest into client conversations. Candidates should have at least 1 year of experience managing social media for a business, agency, or brand, strong written English, and a portfolio of managed accounts. The position is based in Colombo and is full-time.
Must have
- At least 1 year of experience managing social media accounts for a business, agency or brand.
- Strong written English; Sinhala or Tamil is a plus.
- A portfolio or links to accounts you have managed, with results where possible.
- Working knowledge of scheduling and analytics tools, and basic design tools such as Canva or Figma.
- Good eye for visuals and a clear, human writing style.
- Reliable and organized, able to keep to a posting schedule.
Nice to have
- Experience with short-form video editing.
- Experience with LinkedIn content for a B2B audience.
- Basic paid social experience.
