About the role
The DevOps Engineer role is based in Jaffna and focuses on implementing, migrating, and maintaining highly available infrastructure on Azure and Kubernetes. The position involves building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, supporting cloud infrastructure across multiple regions, managing disaster recovery, and collaborating with engineering and IT teams to automate processes and introduce new technologies. The ideal candidate will have experience with cloud infrastructure, automation, network security, and a strong background in DevOps practices. Must have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on DevOps experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience hosting applications within the Azure ecosystem, including Azure DevOps build and release management.
- Hands-on experience with Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, Git, and build tools.
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code, including Terraform, ARM, and Azure CLI.
- Experience implementing service mesh technologies such as Istio.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking and network security, including DNS, Firewalls, VPNs, Public Gateways, Load Balancers, security groups, and access controls.
- Monitoring expertise with Azure Monitor and Application Insights, with familiarity with Datadog.
- Experience with Linux/Unix and Windows administration.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
