Network Intern
About the role
Soluminds (PVT) LTD is seeking a Network Intern to support their technical team in maintaining and improving network infrastructure on-site in the Gampaha District. The intern will assist with network configuration, monitor network performance, help identify and troubleshoot issues, document network setups, and support basic network security practices under supervision. The role offers practical, hands-on experience with real-world projects, exposure to engineering practices, and collaboration with experienced engineers in a professional environment.
Must have
- Candidates should possess foundational skills in Networking and basic Network Design concepts.
- Candidates should possess skills in Network Administration, including configuration and monitoring of network devices.
- Candidates should possess skills in Troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve network-related issues.
- Candidates should possess an understanding of Network Security principles and best practices.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma or degree in IT, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field.
- Ability to learn quickly, follow technical instructions, and work safely in on-site environments.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset for working with technical teams.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with common networking hardware (routers, switches, access points) and standard protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) is beneficial.
