Channel Sales Manager
About the role
The Channel Sales Manager will be responsible for driving business growth across Sri Lanka for a portfolio of enterprise technology brands including Veeam, F5, NetApp, Red Hat, and Lenovo ISG. The role involves defining and executing channel strategies, managing relationships with System Integrators, Value-Added Resellers, and Managed Service Providers, and achieving revenue targets. Key responsibilities include partner enablement, opportunity management, deal support, and pipeline execution. The position requires strong commercial acumen, solution selling skills, and established relationships within the Sri Lankan IT distribution sector. The role reports to the Head of Distribution or Business Unit Head and is based in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
Must have
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of successful channel sales or business development experience in the Sri Lankan IT distribution / enterprise technology sector
- Direct exposure or hands-on selling experience with one or more of the focus brands: Lenovo (x86 Servers, Storage, HCI), NetApp (SAN/NAS Enterprise Storage, Unified Data Management), Veeam (Enterprise Backup, Recovery, and Cloud Data Management), F5 (Application Delivery Controllers, API Security, WAF), Red Hat (Enterprise Linux, OpenShift, Ansible Automation)
- Strong, established relationships with major System Integrators (e.g., MilleniumIT, VSIS, Zillione, Softlogic IT, Just In Time, etc.) and enterprise decision-makers in Sri Lanka
- Strong understanding of IT distribution financial mechanics—margin structures, rebate programs, credit terms, and import/FX dynamics in Sri Lanka
- Ability to articulate multi-vendor infrastructure solutions (e.g., Lenovo compute + NetApp storage + Veeam backup + Red Hat virtualization/containers + F5 security)
- Proven ability to manage multi-stakeholder deals and navigate complex partner hierarchies
- Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills
