IFS Projects Consultant
About the role
The IFS Projects Consultant role is a senior-level consulting position responsible for leading and supporting customer delivery across IFS Projects implementations and ongoing support. The consultant will work with project-based businesses to understand their processes and translate requirements into effective IFS solutions. Key responsibilities include leading functional activities, facilitating workshops, configuring IFS Projects functionality, preparing documentation, coordinating with technical teams, and supporting customers throughout the project lifecycle. The role requires significant hands-on experience with IFS Projects modules, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with stakeholders and project teams.
Must have
- Typically 4–8 years of overall experience, including 4–6 years of hands-on IFS Projects module experience.
- At least one end-to-end IFS Projects implementation delivered; experience with further implementations is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of project-based business processes and the ability to translate requirements into an IFS solution.
- Experience with IFS Applications and/or IFS Cloud implementation, upgrade or support work.
- Ability to lead workshops, document requirements, perform gap analysis and communicate solution choices clearly.
- Experience supporting reporting, integrations, data migration, testing and go-live activities in coordination with technical teams.
- Strong verbal, written and presentation skills, with a professional and customer-focused approach.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Ability to work independently on assigned workstreams and willingness to travel for customer engagements when required.
- Experience working on projects that integrate with IFS Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain or Maintenance.
- Experience with IFS Cloud, project data migration, reporting or customer training.
