Quality Engineering Lead
About the role
The Quality Engineering Lead will be responsible for leading quality engineering initiatives within the organization. This includes defining test strategies, planning and executing tests, leading and improving test automation frameworks, reviewing and developing automation scripts, managing CI and test execution, communicating test status with stakeholders, and mentoring Quality Engineers. The role requires strong experience in test automation, particularly with Selenium, as well as knowledge of performance testing, Java, OOP, and experience with tools such as Jenkins, Maven, and Git. The position is based in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
Must have
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with 5–6+ years of industry experience
- Strong experience with Selenium and test automation
- Knowledge of performance testing and engineering
- Strong Java, OOP, and coding skills
- Experience with Jenkins, Maven, and Git
- Experience testing APIs and service-oriented architectures using Rest-Assured or SoapUI
- Strong understanding of Agile Software Testing and SDLC
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Nice to have
- ISTQB, PMI-ACP, or CSM certification is an added advantage
