Senior Project Manager
About the role
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of complex, multi-vendor technology projects within a banking environment. The role covers all phases from project initiation through production go-live, stabilization, and handover to support. Key responsibilities include project planning, execution, monitoring, closure, managing dependencies across teams and vendors, coordinating various testing phases, leading production cutovers, managing governance and reporting, maintaining RAID logs, ensuring compliance, managing budgets, and acting as the main delivery contact for stakeholders. The position also involves mentoring other project managers and contributing to PMO standards.
Must have
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of IT delivery experience, including 4+ years managing projects end-to-end
- Proven experience delivering at least two large or complex technology projects through production go-live
- PMP, CSM, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or equivalent certification
- Strong experience managing multi-vendor technology projects and third-party contracts
- Hands-on experience with SIT, UAT, regression, performance, and security testing
- Working knowledge of Waterfall and Agile/hybrid delivery methodologies
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, governance, and leadership skills
Nice to have
- Experience in banking, financial services, or another regulated industry
- Experience with core banking, digital channels, integration, or infrastructure projects
- Experience working in a client-facing IT services or consulting environment
- Experience with platforms such as Finacle, Oracle, or similar enterprise technologies
