Product Delivery - Intern
About the role
Newton Russell is seeking a Product Delivery Intern to support the delivery of their Brontë platform, which serves enterprise clients in the financial services sector. The intern will work closely with the Product Manager to assist in drafting user stories, maintaining Jira boards, supporting release planning, coordinating UAT, and ensuring clear communication across teams. The role offers hands-on exposure to modern product management, software delivery, and AI-native SDLC practices. Candidates should be recent graduates or final-year students in relevant fields, or early-career professionals interested in product management, with strong written English, organizational skills, and a proactive attitude. The position is based in Colombo and emphasizes in-person collaboration.
Must have
- A recent graduate or final-year student in computer science, information systems, engineering, business, or a related field or someone early in their career (0–1 years) who wants to break into product management.
- Strong written English: you can turn a messy discussion into a clear, structured note.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented you notice when something is out of date, mislabeled, or about to slip.
- Comfort with (or eagerness to learn) tools like Jira, Confluence, and modern AI tools like Claude.
- Enough technical curiosity to hold your own in engineering conversations you don't need to code, but you need to want to understand how things work.
- Proactive and reliable: you follow up without being chased and finish what you start.
Nice to have
- Bonus points for: any exposure to agile/scrum through coursework or projects, QA or testing experience, experience with AI tools, or interest in fintech and financial services.
