DevOps Engineer
About the role
This is a Senior DevOps Engineer position for an international technology company in the iGaming/online gaming sector, focusing on high-availability online gaming platforms. The role involves managing and optimizing production infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), deploying and maintaining Kubernetes clusters, building CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring production reliability. The candidate will also troubleshoot Java application issues and participate in on-call rotations. The position requires strong experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, and Kubernetes, with a Java background for application-level troubleshooting.
Must have
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or cloud infrastructure.
- 2+ years of hands-on Kubernetes experience in production environments.
- Experience with GCP and GKE.
- Strong knowledge of Docker, CI/CD, Linux, and infrastructure as code.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK/EFK.
- Experience supporting Java/Spring Boot applications and troubleshooting JVM issues.
- Familiarity with distributed systems, relational databases, and Redis.
- Fluent Chinese is mandatory.
- Must be based in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
- Comfortable working in the iGaming industry and participating in on-call rotations.
Nice to have
- Previous Java backend development experience.
- Experience with KEDA, Argo CD, or GitOps.
- Experience with high-traffic, 24/7 production systems.
- Knowledge of ClickHouse or Kubernetes networking.
