About the role

The Senior DevOps Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and improving scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure and software delivery platforms. The role involves working closely with development, QA, security, infrastructure, and product teams to automate software delivery, optimize cloud infrastructure, and establish DevOps and SRE practices. Key responsibilities include technical leadership in CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, containerization, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, observability, security, and production operations, as well as mentoring junior and mid-level engineers. The position requires at least 7 years of relevant industry experience and a strong background in cloud platforms, automation, and DevOps best practices.

Must have

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, or a related technical field.
7+ years of professional experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a closely related field.
Demonstrated experience managing production-grade cloud infrastructure and applications.
Experience designing and implementing enterprise-level CI/CD and automation solutions.
Proven experience operating containerized applications and Kubernetes in production environments.
Experience with highly available, scalable, and distributed systems.
Strong knowledge of at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Advanced knowledge of Linux, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform or equivalent IaC tools, CI/CD, Networking, Cloud security.
Experience with CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, Azure DevOps.
Experience with Kubernetes ecosystem technologies such as Helm, Argo CD / Flux, Ingress controllers, Service discovery, Secrets management.
Strong scripting or programming ability in one or more of: Bash, Python, Go.
Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS/SSL, Load balancing, Reverse proxies, VPNs, Firewalls, Cloud networking.
Experience implementing observability using monitoring, logging, and tracing platforms.
Understanding of SRE concepts including SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, incident management, and reliability engineering.
Experience with DevSecOps and cloud security practices.
Strong understanding of Git-based development and branching strategies.
Strong technical leadership and decision-making skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with developers, QA engineers, security teams, architects, and business stakeholders.
Ability to mentor and guide engineers with different levels of experience.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Ability to remain effective during production incidents and high-pressure situations.
Strong understanding of software development and system lifecycle processes.
Ability to balance reliability, security, performance, delivery speed, and cost.
Strong documentation and knowledge-sharing skills.
Commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

Nice to have

A Master's degree in a relevant field is an advantage.
One or more of the following certifications is desirable: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), HashiCorp Terraform Associate, Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS).
Experience designing enterprise-scale cloud platforms.
Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud environments.
Experience implementing Kubernetes platforms at scale.
Experience with service mesh technologies such as Istio or Linkerd.
Experience with GitOps and platform engineering.
Experience implementing zero-trust security principles.
Experience with FinOps and cloud cost optimization.
Experience designing disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.
Experience with serverless and event-driven architectures.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Experience leading major infrastructure migrations or cloud transformation projects.
