Network and Security Engineer
About the role
The Network & Security Engineer will be responsible for providing network security support, troubleshooting technical issues, managing network infrastructure, monitoring system performance, and ensuring service availability according to agreed SLAs. The role involves customer support, incident management, monitoring network alerts, implementing fixes, managing security platforms, and collaborating with customers, vendors, and internal teams. Candidates should have a qualification in Network Engineering or a relevant field, with significant hands-on experience in network support and security, and familiarity with a range of networking and cloud technologies. The position is with a client of InTalent Asia, a recruitment partner specializing in managed IT services, network infrastructure, and cybersecurity roles.
Must have
- Qualification in Network Engineering or a relevant field.
- 5+ years of customer-facing experience in understanding business and technical requirements.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in network support, troubleshooting, routing, switching, wireless, and network security.
- Experience with Cisco or Juniper networking technologies and Cisco security products (ASA and ISE).
- Experience with Palo Alto firewalls, F5 or NetScaler load balancing, and SD-WAN technologies.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, NetFlow, Nagios, Wireshark) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
