Software Engineer - Java

Must have
- Professional software development experience in Java.
- Three years of professional software development experience
- Hands-on experience with Java 1.8.
- Experience building applications using Java Swing.
- Working knowledge of Vert.x and event-driven application development.
- Experience using Jenkins for build and deployment automation.
- Experience using Gradle as a build automation tool.
- Python scripting or development experience.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
- Experience using Git or another source control system.
- Ability to troubleshoot, debug and resolve application issues.
Nice to have
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments would be useful.
- Exposure to RESTful APIs and microservices architecture would be an advantage.
- Experience with relational databases and SQL would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms and containerisation technologies would be an advantage.
