About the role

The Lead Software Engineer at WealthTrust Securities PLC will drive an AI-first SDLC with a focus on delivering secure, scalable, and maintainable software solutions. The role involves engaging with users, leveraging AI-assisted rapid prototyping, and overseeing AI-assisted design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. The position also includes responsibilities for technical leadership, architecture, security, governance, and continuous improvement within a collaborative engineering team environment.

Must have

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
8+ years of experience in software engineering, application architecture, or technology leadership.
Proven experience in designing and delivering enterprise-grade, scalable software solutions.
Experience leading engineering teams and managing end-to-end software delivery.
Professional experience with AI-assisted software development and modern engineering practices.
Strong expertise in AI-first SDLC and AI-assisted software engineering.
Application architecture, including microservices, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and system integrations.
Software development, code review, automated testing, and quality assurance.
CI/CD, DevOps, deployment automation, observability, and production reliability.
Application security, secure coding practices, and engineering governance.
Technology evaluation, optimization, and cost-efficient solution design.
Strong user engagement, requirements analysis, and rapid prototyping capabilities.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and actionable development tasks.
Experience leading focused, high-performing engineering teams.
Strong Agile delivery, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Ability to validate AI-generated outputs and maintain engineering quality standards.
Strong technical documentation, architectural decision-making, and continuous improvement mindset.
