Java Full-Stack Developer
About the role
The Java Full-Stack Developer (6 Months Contract) role at Goodhope Asia Holdings Ltd involves contributing to all phases of the software development lifecycle, writing efficient and testable code, supporting component releases, troubleshooting technical issues, participating in code reviews, collaborating with teams, and supporting continuous improvement through new technologies. The position is based in the Sri Lanka office and is part of a dynamic and growing organization in the palm oil and edible oils industry. Candidates are expected to have experience with Java, Spring Boot, microservices, RESTful APIs, databases, and modern development tools. Successful candidates will receive an attractive remuneration package with fringe benefits.
Must have
- Minimum 1 year experience in developing commercial applications using Java with strong OOP knowledge
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
- Practical experience with Spring/Spring Boot and Microservices architecture
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, modern design patterns/best practices
- Experience with databases (Oracle DB is an added advantage)
- Exposure to testing and development tools such as Junit, Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins etc
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team with quick adaptability to new technologies
