SEO & GEO Specialist
About the role
John Morris Group is seeking an SEO & GEO Specialist to enhance organic and AI search visibility for a global ecommerce portfolio comprising over 50,000 products and more than 7 stores across various markets. The role involves developing and executing SEO and GEO strategies, conducting audits, implementing improvements, and analyzing performance. The specialist will work closely with the CEO, developers, content, and sales teams to drive measurable growth. Key responsibilities include technical SEO management, content optimization, keyword and competitor analysis, and improving visibility across both traditional and AI-powered search platforms.
Must have
- 2+ years of hands-on SEO or digital marketing experience
- Strong experience across technical SEO, on-page SEO, content SEO, keyword research, and backlink analysis
- Strong knowledge of Google Search Console, GA4, Semrush/Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Looker Studio, and AI tools
- Working knowledge of HTML/CSS and common ecommerce/CMS platforms such as Shopify, WordPress, WooCommerce, or nopCommerce
- Strong understanding of structured data, semantic search, topical authority, entities, E-E-A-T, and international SEO
- Practical understanding of GEO, AEO, AI Search, AI Overviews, and generative search platforms such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini
- Ability to work across multiple brands, markets, and domains while maintaining quality and consistency.
- Proactive approach to emerging search and digital marketing trends
Nice to have
- Experience managing SEO for ecommerce websites is an added advantage
- Experience in social media and broader digital marketing is an advantage
- A relevant bachelor’s degree is preferred
