ASSOCIATE DEVOPS ENGINEER - MS
About the role
The Associate DevOps Engineer will join the Managed Services team to support enterprise WSO2 deployments for customers, focusing on monitoring, incident investigation, automation, and maintaining operational documentation. The role involves working closely with senior engineers and team leads to improve service reliability and security, while also developing technical and operational skills. Key responsibilities include maintaining WSO2 deployments, monitoring platform health, triaging incidents, applying updates, supporting CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring security standards are followed. The position requires strong Linux knowledge, experience with Docker and Kubernetes, exposure to automation tools, and effective communication skills. Must have
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or at least two years of relevant industry experience.
- Strong working knowledge of Linux systems and open source software.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Exposure to Terraform, Ansible, or similar infrastructure automation tools.
- Understanding of CI/CD and automated deployment pipelines.
- Experience with monitoring, log analysis, and performance troubleshooting.
- Methodical troubleshooting, documentation, and escalation skills.
- Clear communication skills and the ability and willingness to work in a 24/7 roster-based Managed Services team.
- Basic Shell or Python scripting skills and familiarity with Git-based workflows.
- Clear communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to have
- Kubernetes, Ansible, or Terraform certification will be advantageous.
- Exposure to WSO2 products, middleware, networking, or security will be advantageous.
