About the role
The Assistant Manager - Card Centre Product Management is responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational oversight for card product management, portfolio growth, and compliance within the Card Centre. The role involves aligning team KPIs with business goals, streamlining processes, promoting digital solutions, and driving card usage and revenue through targeted campaigns and initiatives. The position also requires managing people and processes, ensuring regulatory compliance, monitoring operations, and supporting cross-functional coordination. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in banking or fintech, with expertise in card operations and product management.
Must have
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking or Information Technology, or a recognized professional banking qualification.
- At least 5 years in banking operations, card operations or the fintech industry.
- At least 3 years of direct experience in one or more of: card product management, card scheme integration (LankaPay), or digital wallet and contactless payment implementation (such as Google Pay).
- Strong knowledge of credit and debit card products, processes and regulatory frameworks.
- Understanding of payment systems and card networks (Visa, MasterCard).
- Proficiency in banking software and core banking systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Ability to prepare MIS reports and present findings to management.
- Leadership and people management capability.
Nice to have
- Prior supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Hands-on experience running card marketing or campaign initiatives, and familiarity with UAT and project delivery.
