Associate Technical Lead - Full Stack
About the role
As an Associate Technical Lead - Full Stack at Insighture, you will be responsible for designing and building scalable microservices, owning critical components and architecture, and maintaining high-quality Node.js/TypeScript API services. The role involves driving a test-first culture, containerising and deploying with Docker, optimising scalability on AWS, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions. You will also contribute to automation with GitLab CI/CD and work with both front-end and back-end technologies, including React, Node.js, AWS, and various databases. The position requires strong communication and teamwork skills, as well as hands-on experience with AI coding assistants and exposure to AI/ML-powered features.
Must have
- 5+ years building production React (React.js, Next.js, Hooks) & 2+ years Node.js and AWS.
- Strong TypeScript/JavaScript and async, event-driven programming.
- State management with Redux Toolkit (RTK Query / TanStack Query a plus).
- Solid HTML/CSS/Flexbox and responsive UI (styled-components / Tailwind a plus).
- RESTful API design, relational + NoSQL schema design (PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Testing with Jest, Docker containerisation (Kubernetes / Kafka a plus).
- Serverless architecture with AWS Lambda.
- Versatility across front-end, back-end and infrastructure, picking up new tech fast.
- Excellent communication and teamwork.
- Hands-on with AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor).
- Effective prompting and AI-assisted workflows without compromising quality or judgement.
- Exposure to AI/ML or AI-powered features (LLM APIs, RAG, agentic workflows).
