Senior Technician/Technician/Trainee Technician
About the role
Browns Engineering & Construction is hiring for multiple technician roles, including Senior Technician, Technician - GI, and Trainee Technician (Telecom). The positions involve telecom installation, cabling, antenna installation, commissioning activities, and working at field sites, often at heights and across Sri Lanka. Must have
- NVQ Level 3/4 or equivalent technical qualification.
- 2-4 years of telecom field experience.
- Knowledge of BTS installation, cabling, antenna installation, and commissioning activities.
- Ability to work at heights and travel island-wide.
- Good understanding of EHS requirements.
- Technical certificate/NVQ in Electrical, Electronics, or Telecommunications.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Knowledge of basic telecom installation activities.
- Willingness to work at field sites and work at heights.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Passed G.C.E. Ordinary Level (O/L). G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) is an added advantage.
- NVQ Level 3, Technical Certificate, or currently following a course in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunication, or a related field.
- No prior experience required. Fresh school leavers and trainees are encouraged to apply.
- Basic understanding of electrical and telecommunication concepts.
- Willingness to work at field sites, travel island-wide, and work at heights.
- Ability to learn telecom installation, cabling, antenna installation, and commissioning activities.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Positive attitude with a strong commitment to safety (EHS).
