About the role
The GDS Independence Assurance Support Group AQP Senior Associate at EY is responsible for executing globally defined processes in accordance with EY Global Independence policies, supporting the firm's compliance as an independent auditor. The role involves performing procedures, secondary research, and updates to internal tools and databases to help audit teams mitigate independence-related risks. Key responsibilities include developing expertise in independence concepts, reviewing and mentoring team members, managing client and stakeholder communications, and identifying opportunities for process automation. Candidates must have a master's or postgraduate degree (preferably in Finance), 3-5 years of relevant experience, and strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills. The position is based in Colombo, Sri Lanka, and offers opportunities to work in a dynamic, growth-focused environment with global teams.
Must have
- Masters/post-graduate degree (preferably in Finance) from a reputed institute.
- 3 - 5 years of experience in secondary research and analysis in a professional services firm.
- Well-developed analytical, interpersonal, and communication (both verbal and written) skills in English
- Basic understanding of type of company structures, Ownership structures, awareness of auditor Independence and basic risk management concepts.
- Experience in MS office suites like Microsoft 365, MS excel, PowerPoint
Nice to have
- Candidates with exposure of handing client interaction would be preferred.
