Information Security Manager
About the role
The Information Security Manager will lead and manage cybersecurity incidents, oversee security operations and threat management, and ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards. The role involves coordinating incident response, conducting root cause analysis, supporting threat detection, and working closely with Governance, Risk & Compliance teams. The manager will also drive security awareness initiatives, mentor team members, and provide strategic leadership across information security functions. The position is based in Colombo, Sri Lanka, within the IT and cybersecurity industry, and requires significant experience in security operations and governance. Must have
- Bachelor's Degree in Cyber Security, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Security Operations, Risk Management, or related domains.
- Strong experience leading Security Operations, Incident Response, and Information Security Governance functions.
- Proven expertise in security incident management and cyber risk mitigation.
- Strong understanding of threat management, vulnerability management, and cybersecurity operations.
- Experience supporting GDPR compliance and information security governance frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of information security standards, frameworks, and industry best practices.
Nice to have
- CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
- CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)
- CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)
- Other advanced cybersecurity, governance, or risk management certifications will be an advantage.
