About the role
The Senior Software Engineer [Java] at SenzMate IoT Intelligence will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining efficient and reliable code, with a focus on backend systems and REST API integration. The role involves performance optimization, bug identification and resolution, and maintaining high standards of code quality and automation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java technologies and experience working in Agile environments. SenzMate is a company dedicated to making IoT and AI technologies accessible globally, with a culture shaped by over a decade of humanitarian and technological contributions.
Must have
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience as a software developer
- Strong experience in Java stack (Spring, Hibernate, Jersey, MongoDB)
- Experience working in Linux environments
- Experience working in Agile teams and processes (Jira, Confluence, GitHub, etc.)
Nice to have
- Experience with the ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) is an advantage
- Experience with message brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ is an advantage
- Knowledge of protocols such as TR-069, USP, MQTT, and STOMP is an advantage
- Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, Jenkins, Git, and Ansible is an advantage
- Experience in telecommunications projects is an advantage
