Software Engineer – React + Node
About the role
This role is for a Software Engineer or Senior Software Engineer specializing in React and Node.js, working on a digital guest-experience platform for hotels. The position involves developing and maintaining full-stack applications, including guest-facing apps, admin dashboards, and REST APIs, as well as implementing real-time features and secure multi-tenant architectures. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience with modern JavaScript, React, Node.js, Express, and MySQL, and will be responsible for end-to-end feature ownership, mentoring junior developers, and collaborating closely with the founders. Must have
- At least 3 years of experience building and deploying full-stack web applications in production environments.
- Strong proficiency in modern JavaScript (ES6+), React, Node.js, and Express.
- Solid knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL, including schema design, indexing, transactions, and migrations.
- Hands-on experience developing real-time applications using Socket.IO or WebSockets.
- Experience building multi-tenant SaaS applications with JWT authentication and role-based access control.
- Good understanding of REST API design, file uploads, and image processing tools such as Multer, Sharp, or AWS S3.
- Familiarity with Git, Linux, cloud environments, and shell-scripted deployments.
- Ability to take ownership of features from concept to production.
- Good communication skills in English and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment.
