Business Analyst
About the role
Appoyo is seeking a detail-oriented and highly responsible Business Analyst to support the full cycle of delivery for their cloud-based software platform, built for NDIS providers in Australia. The role involves working closely with management and technical teams to capture, organize, and document business, product, and technical requirements, track execution, and support delivery from idea to release. Key responsibilities include attending meetings, manual and AI-assisted note-taking, converting discussions into structured documentation, validating requirements, tracking progress, and supporting developers. Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role within a software development company, strong analytical and organizational skills, and proficiency in Google Sheets, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. The position requires independent work in a fast-paced environment and strong communication skills.
Must have
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a Business Analyst, Technical Analyst, Product Analyst, or similar role within a software development company
- Strong experience in gathering, organizing, and documenting software requirements clearly and accurately
- Ability to work closely with management and technical teams and convert conversations into actionable documents and trackers
- Experience in following up with developers and monitoring task progress through meetings, chats, and project management tools
- Good understanding of testing concepts and ability to validate completed work against requirements
- Strong attention to detail and ability to detect missing requirements, incorrect implementations, or incomplete delivery
- Strong skills in Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strong analytical thinking, organization, ownership, and follow-through
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple ongoing items in a fast-paced environment
Nice to have
- Familiarity with requirement traceability, delivery tracking, and issue follow-up processes
- Exposure to QA validation, bug reporting, and UAT coordination
- Experience working on SaaS products
- Experience in NDIS, disability services, HR, payroll, rostering, or workforce management software will be an added advantage
