About the role
The Data Science Manager is responsible for leading analytics-driven workstreams and delivering strategic solutions through data analytics and business acumen. The role involves consolidating and structuring large, complex datasets, integrating external data, and generating actionable insights to support deal narratives and value creation hypotheses. The manager oversees dashboard and reporting deliverables, but the primary focus is on insight generation and storytelling for business decision-making. Additional responsibilities include project planning, team supervision, client management, and supporting business development initiatives.
Must have
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Statistics or related field.
- Strong proficiency in data preparation and transformation tools such as Python and/or Alteryx.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including handling large datasets and working with power pivots.
- Overall 6+ years of relevant experience in consulting or analytics roles, supporting clients at a national or global level.
- Atleast 4 to 6 years of hands-on experience in executing and managing analytics engagements within Transaction Services, including buy-side and sell-side due diligence.
- Experience managing and leading junior team members.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and simultaneous projects in a rapidly growing practice.
- Strong leadership, business development, recruitment, training, and mentoring skills.
- Excellent written, presentation, leadership, and interpersonal communication skills.
