IT Intern
About the role
UPS Sri Lanka is seeking an IT Intern to support its IT operations. The intern will assist with hardware, software, and network system maintenance, provide first-line technical support, and contribute to IT projects and documentation. This role is designed for individuals currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or diploma in IT or a related field, offering hands-on experience in a professional logistics and technology environment. Candidates should have foundational IT knowledge, familiarity with productivity tools, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Must have
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (NVQ Level 4 or higher is highly appreciated).
- Foundational knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS), and networking principles.
- Familiarity with productivity tools such as Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration platforms.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Nice to have
- Basic understanding of programming, databases, or cybersecurity concepts is an advantage.
