Software Engineers and AI Engineers
About the role
FirmMind.ai, an AI start-up focused on transforming the accounting sector with Agentic AI, is hiring Software Engineers and AI Engineers to join their global team. Software Engineers will design and build platform components using a modern microservices architecture, working with technologies like Java, Spring Boot, React, Node.js, Python, AWS, Docker, and Terraform. AI Engineers will develop agentic AI workflows, including LLM-based systems, RAG pipelines, and scalable AI architectures, using Python, LangChain, vector databases, and AWS. Both roles involve collaborating with senior engineers and product managers, writing tests and documentation, and presenting work to stakeholders. Candidates should have at least 2 years of relevant experience and strong technical skills in the respective stacks.
Must have
- 2+ years of experience building products that solve real-world problems.
- Solid grounding in Java and Spring Boot, with experience building and testing microservices.
- Comfort with modern front-end work in React or Next.js, and with Node.js or Python where needed.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, containers and infrastructure as code.
- A habit of writing tests, documenting your work and measuring performance.
- Curiosity about AI-assisted development and how it changes the way software is built.
- Clear communication, and confidence presenting your work to non-engineers.
- Strong Python skills and practical experience shipping LLM-powered features.
- Working knowledge of agent frameworks, RAG design and vector search.
- A rigorous approach to evaluation: test sets, regression checks and measuring hallucination.
- Awareness of cost, latency and reliability trade-offs when running models in production.
- Familiarity with AWS, containers and infrastructure as code.
- Clear communication, and confidence explaining AI behaviour to non-technical stakeholders.
