Internship - QA
About the role
Pentagon i Runway is offering a full-time, on-site QA Internship in Colombo. The intern will join the quality assurance team to design and execute test cases, document results, and report defects. Responsibilities include reviewing requirements, performing manual and basic automated testing, assisting with regression and integration testing, and maintaining QA documentation and test environments. The role involves close collaboration with developers, business analysts, and project managers, providing practical exposure to QA methodologies, industry tools, and structured software development processes. Candidates should have a foundational understanding of QA principles, quality management, and software testing life cycles, and be pursuing or have recently completed a relevant degree or diploma.
Must have
- Ability to apply core Quality Assurance and Quality Control principles to software and process testing.
- Understanding of Quality Management concepts and participation in continuous improvement activities.
- Interest or foundational knowledge in Quality Auditing and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) or analogous compliance frameworks.
- Basic familiarity with software testing life cycle, test case design, and defect tracking tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Willingness to learn, adapt to structured QA processes, and work full time on-site in Colombo.
