Lead Data / MDM Architect (2Year Contract)
About the role
This role is responsible for owning the end-to-end data and Master Data Management (MDM) architecture, providing technical design authority across the program. The position involves defining and maintaining the target data/MDM architecture, leading architecture for Azure-based data platforms, and ensuring integration, governance, security, and downstream consumption are coherently managed. The architect will guide technical decisions, mentor engineers, and participate in strategic forums, ensuring the architecture is both practical and aligned with business needs. The contract is for two years.
Must have
- 8+ years in enterprise data engineering/architecture with significant solution architecture responsibility.
- Strong Azure data-platform architecture experience.
- Strong Databricks/Spark, Delta Lake/lakehouse and ADLS Gen2 understanding.
- Practical MDM knowledge: canonical models, entity resolution, Golden Records, survivorship, source authority, stewardship and global IDs.
- Strong API/integration architecture and distributed-system design.
- Ability to work with security, privacy, governance and multi-region constraints.
- Strong stakeholder communication and architecture documentation.
Nice to have
- Hands-on Profisee experience or another enterprise MDM platform.
- Microsoft Purview/data catalog/lineage experience.
- Experience with large global Customer/Supplier/Organisation master-data programmes.
- Azure architecture certification and/or Databricks certification.
