About the role

Quantix Global is seeking an Intern UI/UX Engineer to join their team in Pelawatta. The role involves working on real projects for international clients and contributing to SaaS products by designing intuitive web applications, mobile apps, and websites. Responsibilities include creating user flows, wireframes, responsive UI designs, interactive prototypes using Figma, design systems, and collaborating with developers. Candidates should be pursuing or have a degree in a relevant field, possess good knowledge of Figma, understand user-centred design principles, and have strong attention to detail. A portfolio is required. The internship is on-site and offers hands-on experience in a collaborative environment.

Must have

A degree, or currently pursuing one, in UI/UX Design, Software Engineering, IT, Computer Science, Multimedia or a related field from a recognized university
Good working knowledge of Figma
A clear understanding of user-centred design principles
Ability to create wireframes, user flows, prototypes and polished interfaces
Strong attention to detail, typography, spacing and visual hierarchy
An understanding of responsive and mobile-first design
Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
A portfolio featuring university, personal, freelance or live projects

Nice to have

Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS
Familiarity with design systems and component libraries
Experience with Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop
Experience creating animations and interactive assets for websites using tools such as After Effects, Rive, Lottie or Spline
An interest in interaction design, micro-animations and usability testing
