Information Technology Intern
About the role
The Information Technology Intern at Information Technology Services Lanka (Pvt) Ltd (ITS Lanka) will support day-to-day IT operations in an on-site, full-time capacity based in Dehiwala. The intern will assist with network monitoring, system checks, hardware and software support, and help resolve user issues alongside the support team. Additional responsibilities include documenting incidents, escalating complex problems, supporting maintenance tasks, deploying updates, and managing IT asset inventory. The role offers exposure to IT service delivery best practices and collaboration with helpdesk and consultancy teams.
Must have
- Foundational knowledge in Information Technology and exposure to IT support environments.
- Basic skills in Network Administration, including understanding of routers, switches, and common network protocols.
- Ability to perform Troubleshooting of hardware, software, and connectivity issues in a structured, methodical way.
- Strong Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, listen actively, and respond professionally to user requests.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma or degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Willingness to learn, adapt to new technologies, and follow established procedures and documentation standards.
- Ability to work on-site in Dehiwala, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage time effectively.
