About the role
The Data Engineer role involves designing, building, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and cloud data platforms to support real-time analytics and decision-making. Responsibilities include building and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines, designing data layers using medallion architecture, managing production pipelines, delivering high-quality datasets to analytics and data science teams, and contributing to documentation and code reviews within an Agile team. The position requires a relevant degree and experience with big data or cloud data platforms, as well as proficiency in programming and data tools.
Must have
- Degree in Computer Science, IT, Big Data, or a related field.
- 1–2+ years of experience with big data, on-premises, or cloud data platforms.
- Snowflake (preferred), Hadoop (HDFS), or AWS (S3).
- Python or Java; PySpark, Spark SQL, or Snowpark.
- Strong SQL skills (MySQL, SQL Server, or Oracle).
- Airflow (preferred), Oozie, or Informatica; Git.
