About the role
The Executive - Server Infrastructure & System Software role at Singer (Sri Lanka) PLC involves managing and maintaining the organization's on-premises and cloud infrastructure to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient IT operations. The position supports server environments, cloud platforms, enterprise applications, system security, backups, and disaster recovery, while driving improvements in infrastructure reliability and performance. Key responsibilities include administering physical and virtual server environments, managing cloud infrastructure, performing system patching and upgrades, handling backups and disaster recovery, and coordinating with vendors and service providers. Candidates must have a relevant degree or professional qualification, at least one year of experience in IT infrastructure administration, and strong technical and troubleshooting skills.
Must have
- A Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or an equivalent professional qualification.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in IT infrastructure administration or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy, with working knowledge of Linux, VMware, and Hyper-V.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, Microsoft 365 administration, backup solutions, monitoring tools, endpoint security, networking fundamentals, access controls, patch management, and disaster recovery.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, technical documentation, verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with users, internal teams, and vendors.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and work late nights or outside normal working hours when required for maintenance, implementations, or incident resolution.
Nice to have
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104) will be an added advantage.

Highlights
