Solution Consultant (AWS)
About the role
The AWS Solution Consultant will be responsible for enabling and supporting channel partners and system integrators in adopting AWS cloud services. The role involves leading technical workshops, designing secure and cost-optimized AWS architectures, preparing proposals and technical responses, and delivering solution demonstrations and proofs-of-concept. The consultant will also assist partners in leveraging AWS funding programs and act as a technical liaison between the distributor, AWS Partner Network teams, and local partners. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, 2-5 years of technical experience in cloud solutions or presales, and strong knowledge of AWS services and cloud architecture. The position is based in Colombo, Sri Lanka, within the IT distribution sector.
Must have
- Active AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate (minimum requirement)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of technical experience in cloud solutions design or enterprise presales, preferably within an IT distribution, MSP, or System Integration environment.
- Strong knowledge of core AWS services and migration strategies.
- Deep understanding of channel distribution models, partner margins, and cloud consumption billing.
- Hands-on familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/CloudFormation) and cloud security frameworks.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder communication skills in English (fluency in Sinhala or Tamil is an advantage).

- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or DevOps/Security Specialty highly preferred.

Highlights
