Data QA Lead
About the role
The Data QA Lead will oversee quality assurance activities for data projects, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and integrity throughout the data lifecycle. The role involves leading QA efforts, creating and executing test cases and plans, performing both manual and automation testing, validating data across systems, and testing data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehouses. The position requires strong collaboration with Data Engineers, Business Analysts, and other stakeholders, as well as driving test automation and continuous quality improvements. The company is seeking someone with significant QA/testing experience, especially in data-focused environments.
Must have
- 6+ years of experience in Quality Assurance / Testing
- Strong experience in Manual and Automation Testing
- Experience in test case and test plan creation and execution
- Strong knowledge of defect management and QA best practices
- Experience testing data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehouses
- Strong SQL and data validation skills
- Hands-on exposure to one or more of the following: Snowflake, Azure Data Services, Apache Spark, Power BI, ETL/ELT tools
- Experience working with data engineering teams and data projects
Nice to have
- Experience in Insurance or Financial Services
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines
- ISTQB or other relevant QA certifications
