About the role
FONIX EDU (PVT) LTD is urgently hiring a General Manager to lead EduOne, their AI-powered education technology platform, based onsite in Ratnapura, Sri Lanka. The role involves driving business growth and sales, overseeing software development and project management, managing daily operations and multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring customer success and teacher onboarding. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of relevant experience in business operations, software project management, SaaS, EdTech, or technology-driven business development, with strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. The position offers the opportunity to take ownership of a growing EdTech product, work closely with the CEO, and benefit from performance-based incentives.
Must have
- 3+ years of relevant experience in business operations, software project management, SaaS, EdTech, or technology-driven business development.
- Strong understanding of software development processes, Agile/Scrum, SDLC, and product delivery.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and coordinating software development projects.
- Demonstrated ability to drive sales, manage customers, and achieve measurable business results.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership, and deliver results with minimal supervision.
- Good communication skills in Sinhala and English.
- Willingness to work onsite in Ratnapura.
Nice to have
- A background in Software Engineering, IT, Computer Science, Business Management, or a related field will be an advantage.
- Experience in EdTech, LMS platforms, B2B SaaS, or AI-powered products will be highly valued.
