SENIOR DEMAND PLANNING EXECUTIVE – SYSTEMS & AUTOMATION
About the role
ProActiveChain is seeking a full-time Senior Demand Planning Executive – Systems & Automation to join their on-site team in Dehiwala (Pepiliyana). The role involves analyzing sales data, forecasting demand, monitoring inventory, and collaborating with various teams to ensure optimal stock levels for clients, primarily in e-commerce and retail. The position also acts as a key liaison between demand planning and system development, converting manual processes into SOPs and functional requirements for developers, and managing ongoing system improvements. Candidates should have strong analytical skills, experience in demand planning, and the ability to communicate complex planning logic to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The company offers a dynamic environment focused on innovation and continuous improvement in supply chain management.
Must have
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management / Statistics or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in demand planning or forecasting, ideally in e-commerce or retail.
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, formulas, data modeling).
- Ability to document manual processes as clear, structured SOPs.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Strong communicator who can work across teams, manage multiple client accounts, and coordinate with an external development team.
- Comfortable explaining planning logic to non-planning people (developers) and translating their questions back to the team.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and driven by ownership and accountability.
- Prior experience working with or helping build a system (ERP, planning tool, or custom-built platform) - ideally on the “giving requirements to developers” side.
- Most importantly: someone who’s open to discussing improvements, experimenting with ideas, and adding value beyond the job description.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Amazon Seller Central, ERP systems, or inventory tools is a plus.
