Senior QA Engineer
About the role
This role is for a Senior QA Automation Engineer with 3–5 years of experience, focusing on UI automation using Playwright and/or Selenium. The position involves designing, developing, and maintaining robust UI automation frameworks, developing automation solutions with TypeScript and/or Java, and integrating automated tests within CI/CD pipelines. The engineer will also be responsible for API automation, improving test reliability, collaborating with development and QA teams in an Agile/Scrum environment, and mentoring junior QA engineers. The company seeks someone with strong hands-on experience in Playwright, TypeScript, and automation framework development, as well as experience with tools like TestNG, Cucumber/BDD, REST Assured, GitLab/GitHub, and Jenkins or GitLab CI.
Must have
- 3–5 years of experience in QA with a strong focus on test automation.
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright.
- Strong working knowledge of TypeScript.
- Experience designing, developing, and maintaining UI automation frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with Page Object Model (POM) and modular automation frameworks.
- Experience with TestNG and/or Cucumber/BDD.
- Proven experience in API automation testing using REST Assured and/or Playwright.
- Practical experience with GitLab and/or GitHub.
- Experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD pipelines, preferably Jenkins or GitLab CI.
