About the role
The Senior QA Engineer role focuses on manual software testing with a strong emphasis on Salesforce applications and end-to-end integration testing. The position involves developing and executing test plans, designing and running test cases, performing API and integration testing, managing defects, and validating data across Salesforce and third-party platforms. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, maintain comprehensive test documentation, and contribute to continuous improvements in QA processes. Candidates should have significant experience in QA, especially with Salesforce, and be adept at using tools like Postman, Swagger, Jira, Confluence, and Zephyr.
Must have
- 6+ years of experience in software quality assurance and manual testing.
- Strong hands-on experience in Salesforce testing.
- Solid understanding of test planning, test strategy, test case design, execution, and test estimation.
- Experience in functional, system, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Strong experience in API testing using Postman and Swagger.
- Experience testing integrations between Salesforce and third-party applications.
- Strong knowledge of SQL for data validation and database testing.
- Experience with defect management and tracking throughout the testing lifecycle.
- Strong understanding of requirements and acceptance criteria analysis.
- Experience applying risk-based testing approaches.
- Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, and Zephyr or similar test management tools.
- Strong understanding of test reporting, quality metrics, and QA processes.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in an Agile development environment.
