Quality Assurance Engineer (1-Year Contract)
About the role
The Quality Assurance Engineer (1-Year Contract) position is based in Colombo and requires on-site work. The role involves performing both manual and automated testing of software applications, developing and maintaining automated test scripts, preparing and executing test cases and reports, and conducting functional, regression, and API testing. The engineer will also identify and report software defects, collaborate closely with developers, and support test automation and CI/CD processes. Candidates should have 1–2 years of experience in software quality assurance, hands-on experience with Selenium or Playwright, and familiarity with tools such as Jira, Git, and Jenkins. A bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
Must have
- 1–2 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
- Experience in Manual and Automation Testing.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium or Playwright.
- Knowledge of Java or JavaScript.
- Experience with API testing using Postman or similar tools.
- Familiarity with Jira, Git, and Jenkins.
- Good understanding of software testing concepts and Agile methodologies.
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
