Senior Technical Business Analyst
About the role
The Senior Technical Business Analyst serves as a crucial link between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that business requirements are accurately captured, validated, and translated into actionable technical deliverables. The role involves gathering and documenting requirements, developing user stories and process flows, and facilitating workshops and walkthroughs. The analyst collaborates closely with development and QA teams, leveraging knowledge of Core Java, APIs, Microservices, and databases to validate solutions and support testing activities. Responsibilities also include preparing detailed documentation, maintaining traceability, and ensuring compliance with industry standards such as BIAN. The position requires strong communication and stakeholder management skills and the ability to work onsite in Sri Lanka.
Must have
- Strong background in Business Analysis with proven ability to gather, document, and validate requirements.
- Exposure to technical environments (Core Java, APIs, Microservices, Databases) or QA practices (test case design, defect management, UAT support).
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work onsite in Sri Lanka with cross‑functional teams.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with BIAN standards and service design principles in banking/financial services (preferred).
