Consultant - SAP FICO
About the role
The Consultant – SAP FICO will be responsible for configuring, supporting, and optimizing SAP Finance and Controlling solutions. The role involves working closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure effective SAP FICO sub-module management, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting, and others. Key duties include analyzing and resolving production support issues, gathering and documenting business requirements, preparing functional specifications, performing system configuration and testing, supporting financial closing processes, and collaborating with ABAP developers for custom developments and enhancements. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on SAP FICO experience, a solid understanding of financial processes, and excellent analytical and communication skills.
Must have
- Strong hands-on experience in SAP FICO configuration, Implemention and support across the above-mentioned sub-modules.
- Sound understanding of financial accounting and controlling processes.
- Proven experience in requirements gathering, functional specification preparation, testing, UAT, and deployment activities.
- Experience supporting month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
- Ability to work effectively with ABAP developers on technical developments, integrations, and enhancements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively in a team environment.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- SAP certification in FICO will be an added advantage.
- Experience working in large enterprise SAP environments is desirable.
