Senior Demand Planning Executive - Systems and Automation
About the role
ProActiveChain is seeking a Senior Demand Planning Executive - Systems and Automation to forecast demand for global e-commerce brands and help build an in-house planning and forecasting system. The role involves analyzing sales data, monitoring inventory, recommending reorder strategies, and collaborating with various teams to ensure accurate forecasting and inventory management. The position also acts as a bridge between the demand planning team and developers, converting manual processes into automated systems and managing ongoing system improvements. Candidates should have a background in supply chain management or statistics, strong analytical and communication skills, and experience in demand planning, ideally within e-commerce or retail.
Must have
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management / Statistics or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in demand planning or forecasting, ideally in e-commerce or retail.
- Excellent English communication with Confident personality.
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, formulas, data modeling).
- Ability to document manual processes as clear, structured SOPs.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Strong communicator who can work across teams, manage multiple client accounts, and coordinate with an external development team.
- Comfortable explaining planning logic to non-planning people (developers) and translating their questions back to the team.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and driven by ownership and accountability.
- Prior experience working with or helping build a system (ERP, planning tool, or custom-built platform) - ideally on the “giving requirements to developers” side.
- Most importantly: someone who’s open to discussing improvements, experimenting with ideas, and adding value beyond the job description.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Amazon Seller Central, ERP systems, or inventory tools is a plus.
