About the role

The Android Tech Lead will guide the mobile team at Fortuna Global, driving the development of high-quality, scalable Android applications. The role involves leading, mentoring, and guiding a team of Android developers, architecting and building scalable mobile apps, collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting code reviews, and ensuring best practices. Candidates are expected to have strong technical skills in Android development, leadership abilities, and experience in mentoring and team collaboration. Must have

Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java for Android development
Expertise in Android SDK, Jetpack Compose, and Material Design principles
Experience integrating RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and third-party SDKs
Hands-on experience with MVVM, Clean Architecture, and Dependency Injection (Dagger/Hilt/Koin)
Familiarity with Firebase, Google Play Console, and App Store release management
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
5+ years of professional Android development experience
2+ years of experience in a technical leadership or team lead role
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking
Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring junior and mid-level developers
Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
